Exciting things!

Okay, so I am working on getting scarves ready to be ahead of the game come fall! In order to provide a product in the meantime, I have listed some super cute House Stark Direwolf sigil fingerless gloves from Game of Thrones, one pair in each size. I knit them in the traditional gray-on-white, and a pair offered in the reverse as well. I only have three listed, so hurry on and get them!!! Otherwise, if I sell out, I will add them for custom order :)

I currently have FOUR completed scarf bases (which is a lot when you take in how CRAZY my summer has been with my day job) and am working on a fifth. YAY!!!!

Above all, I am more grateful than any of you wonderful people will ever know for your business, kind words, and favoriting of my items. You are all amazing to work with and I love sharing in geekery with you!

Farewell, holiday season!

I finally finished my holiday knits - I did a lot of repeats, but here are a few highlights:

Legend of Zelda was by far the most popular this year! I updated my Navi, and this was the first time I got to do a bright red scarf!

This was a really fun LoZ custom order made by a repeat customer (I'm so happy that she enjoyed my work so much to come back!). I'd never done any stitching on the neck of a scarf before, so that was a fun, unique thing. And how cool to have the heart pieces there! Making the Ocarina was also fun, and I love the way it turned out!

These were Street Fighter gloves done for a friend's boyfriend!

Last year everyone was all for Final Fantasy, and this year was the Year of Zelda. Probably because of the games coming out, so that makes sense. It was really fun making people happy, and I always look forward to customers receiving their gifts!!

Moving forward, I plan on changing my shop around to be primarily pre-made scarves, because I ran into so many issues with people contacting me for scarves who needed the within a couple days. This was a problem not only because scarves take me about 24-28 solid hours (that's the condensed total amount of time spent making the scarf, with no breaks), but because I had so many people buy scarves from me, there was always a line! I soooo appreciated the interest in my work and I was happy to do it, but I gotta admit, with so many purchases in November and December, with everyone wanting their product by Christmas, I was spending every second when I wasn't at work, knitting! For two straight months!

So.

What I'm going to do is create a range of scarves in both wool and acrylic, and adjust the prices for them based on that (acrylic will be somewhat cheaper because the materials are less expensive). I think this will work out great, and everyone will be happy. :) I also think I'm going to have a few bases around that are image-ready, just in case. So keep an eye out for my updated shop! It will take a few months to get an inventory, but it will be well worth it.

Holiday update!

Seasons greetings geeksters! Just checking in~

  • I had so many purchases that I had to take down most of my sales!
  • Sales through Christmas have been going well! I took up 6 sales from November with the goal of having them done by Christmas, and I'm over halfway there! I've done some pretty exciting things with my work this year. Here are a couple examples:

This was a really fun take I did on the Sailor Moon scarf. It was great and I'm extremely pleased with the result!

Here are a pair of cute scarves I did for a custom order - This was the first time I had someone request that I don't put fringe on the ends. It turned out well!

  • I have some really exciting changes coming for the store once I get through the projects I have left (which is currently 5 scarves, a hat, and a pair of gloves!!). I can't wait to show them to you!

New items!!

Hey all, I've added a couple new items to my shop!

There is a Sailor Moon reboot in the works, and everyone is gearing up for it. Why not add a gorgeous Sailor Scarf to your wardrobe?? It is perfect for any fan of the series!

As the weather starts to get cooler, the perfect accessory is my new playing card-inspired Harley Quinn gloves! Joker himself would be impressed with the style and comfort - that is, until he came up with a scheme that ends in Harley destroying them! Don't worry, these gloves are sure to last so long as you don't work for a criminal such as the Joker! The gloves come in S, M, or L sizes (small is pictured, graphic novel not included in sale!):

Scarves take up to a month to finish, but the gloves will be shipped within 5 business days! ^_^

Thanks for reading, happy buying!

Scarf Season Already?!?!

You heard right! It's good to get a head start on ordering your scarf to ensure that it is ready by your event or holiday. I am working on bases all the time, but they're still time-consuming, and I obviously work much more diligently when I have an actual order and am not simply working on a head start.

If you ever have any questions or requests, don't hesitate to message or email me! I love taking custom requests, and if you can pixelate it, I can knit it!
